it was more like an off day for us as were informed that on this day there will be assessments done by Mr Nolte and Mr Akermann but to our suprise they didn't pitch up and we were never informed of whats going to happen ...so we kept ourselves busy ka revision of the core unit standards..

presentations 18/06/09

this a day were everyone was prepared to make a presentation and suprisingly the Facilitator decided to make the whole arrangements more interesting and to measure our level of understanding on the financial side of a business.We had to answer questions randomly in the class....

practical day

it is one of not so busy days where we only did routine inspection and maintenance.we were required to to that at Moselesele Tent Camp and Caravann Park.We only replaced 4 light bulbs and 2 in each department,then of to Sehwale Dam were another group was doing a cable joint but we got there when every thing was done....after lunch was down to customer service at Caravan Park as usual its about helping guests identify their stands and also helping up with the setting up of their tents.

youth day

this is a day that is celebrated by the youth to the youth of 1976 that fought against bantu education..as is celebrated we honour what they did for us as they risks their lives for people like as to have privileges of better education that is not discriminating againts anyone involved.It was also an oppotunity of the gorvernment to launch a new campaign of nyda(national youth development agency)that is aimed on empowering the youth of South Africa.

busier than most days.Routine maitnance at the farm...replacement of burned bulbs only!

12h30 voltage drop

@work again there is an adventure centre that has been erected and we had to supply it with power.Today we were designing a new Distribution Board and touch ups on the wiring that was done on the winwy house.we used a high voltage cable for singlephase supply in order to try and avoid voltage drop.2 conductors were binded together as live and 2 as neutrals.We tested voltage output and the value was 228v and the other side input was 228v then we used a 1400w grinder and we had the voltage of 224v.And what is the conclusion?if we use 2 grinders at the sametime then volts will drop to 220v and what is the impact of that that on lights and ect.findigs were that it is not good for the machines to run on such voltage and the machines can also cause overload.

this started badly for me as it's raining and cold for my liking..had to finish up my project of organising a braai for my 25 collegues as it is in the fundamental manual of Mathematics in Finance.
